I’ve been following some concept art making techniques from ctrlpaint, and I like them quite a bit.  I don’t have much to show, but I’ll post some practices I’ve been doing to help myself get better at creating things from my mind.

I used this technique where you start by drawing a bunch of different silhouettes.  Then, you pick the best and continue to modify it as a group.  After you do this, you pick another that you feel is working well, and you do it again.  Each time getting more and more detailed. Eventually, you have narrowed it down to a single image.  I’ll be trying this again with characters/monsters, it was pretty fun.

It’s not great, and the rendering is pretty bad, but I learned a lot by doing this exercise.
