I know, its been quite a while since the last main page post. However, that isn’t to say that I’ve been neglecting the content.
In case you missed it, there are now 11 completed pages of Gwen and the Green Thief. I’m aware I’m not moving very quickly, but I’m learning a lot by doing this myself. Each page is getting faster than the last. Furthermore, I have inked an additional 5 pages, and am currently working on completing the paneling for the final pages. It looks to be about 25 pages, all said and done, and I’m pretty excited about finishing it up. It should be completed by the end of October.
Between each page I’ve been trying to be diligent about practicing my art skills in general. I’ve been doing a lot of color studies, figure studies, and just general practicing of techniques that I admire and want to implement into my own style of work. While I still believe that I’m pretty far from being professional grade, I’m seeing some “Leveling up” going on with some of my work, and that is pretty exciting.
Another thing to look forward to: When I get all the Gwen and the Green Thief pages up, I’ll also be implementing a site redesign. I’ll be changing the format of the gallery so that the illustrative pieces look more like a portfolio. The comics will be using a different, easier to read format that lends itself to more frequent updates than my current front page.
Well, that about sums up the state of things on my end. Keep checking GatGT for new pages in the near future and enjoy this: My most recent, most completed piece out of my current practice regiment.
